Are you a Realtor or lender working with homebuyers looking to purchase a home within the City of Tampa limits?

The City of Tampa offers the "Dare to Own the Dream" (DARE) Homeownership Program, which may provide eligible first-time homebuyers with up to $50,000 in down payment and closing-cost assistance.

Assistance is based on household income and eligibility.

Lenders: The homebuyer must work with a Loan Officer who is listed on the City's current Approved Lender List. If you're a lender interested in participating in the DARE program, contact the City of Tampa Housing & Community Development Division to learn about the requirements and process for becoming an approved lender.

Realtors: The homebuyer must utilize a Real Estate Agent who is listed on the City's current Approved Realtor List. If you're a Realtor interested in participating, contact the City to learn about the requirements and process for becoming an approved Realtor.

⚠️ Important: Homebuyers must begin the process with one of the City's approved housing counseling agencies and must not be under contract before receiving a reservation number.
